3D- Chair and Base(Male)

Some recent 3D stuff.

A chair I made a bit ago. Just color mapped, no extras.

My first base model, basically. Mostly done, still trying to tweak it as I go.

Small 2D update.

Slapping up a few images, probably will do a couple of updates in the coming week.

First is an animated character I managed up in Flash and turned into a working avatar for a multiplayer flash game. It's a Prinny from NIS's awesome Disgaea series, so I can't take any credit for that. I muddled this up from scratch, but ended up heavily consulting my reference due to the lighting being similar to what it would be for the end product.

Click on the bugger to see his walk cycle. It naturally moves much smoother in Flash, unfortunately publishing and Image Ready did their best to work against me on this one.

Click me dood, I walk!

This one's basically a screenshot of something I worked on for a project, made all the assets in the picture. The game ideally had a target resolution of 800x600, so the size is increased to show what it relatively would've looked like in-game.

Brief 3D

Doing this guy for a game I'm working on at the moment with my team of fellow students for a class. It's going to be a 3D, Final Fantasy Tactics style game, so the models are a decent polycount, meant to be seen from pretty far away. This guy in particular is the first character I made for the game, built from scratch. It was very much a learning experience, as I was kind of rushed during, even though I spent a lot of time trying to make the UV's as efficient as possible.

2D MegaPost

Hey all, popping up some of my 2D stuff.

A 'Goblin Hunter' for a CHOW (Character of the Week,) over at ConceptArt.org. The basic idea here is that he's a fleshcrafted goblin corpse, built to hunt others of his kind. Fun, huh? Photoshop and lots and lots of pencil sketches.

A quick color overlay for a character for a demo game project. (For Max Kazemzadeh's 2D game course.) Used primarily to decide color scheme. I ended up with this basic, triadic one in the end. Photoshop over a pencil sketch.

A well-aged vector-ish piece I did a good while back. Fanart for a completely obscure Genesis game. Spent a good, long time tweaking this one in Photoshop.

Look forward to more in the near future.

Introductions.

Hey, welcome to my temporary art home. My name is Kevin Edger, and I'm a 23 year old artist currently studying at the University of North Texas. I'm ultimately aiming to be an artist for an ongoing team, with my favorite past-time being character concepting and modelling, though it's all good in the long run.

If you're still reading for any extra information, I read, write, watch some animu, and most of all, play games. I play 'em all across systems, and I try to keep up to date with every little spot of news I can. I gravitate towards the weird and Japanese, but I play and enjoy just about everything. I get a kick out of designing lame, nerdy little things. And I like movies and music, but hey, who doesn't?

Whatever you're here for, thanks for stopping by. Feel free to drop a mail or a comment.
